(i)GCSE Results 2016
The school has recently received the (i)GCSE results for last year's Y11 students, and we are very pleased to be able to celebrate their excellent results with our community, and to offer a very public and well deserved message of congratulations to them all.
(i)GCSEs are national and international examinations operated by licensed examination boards from the UK, including Cambridge International Examinations. They are key attainment measures in the UK, providing formal qualifications that determine entry into A' Level and IB Diploma Programmes.
Last year's Year 11 students have performed incredibly well in these examinations and we are exceptionally proud to note that over 65% of all examinations taken achieved an A or A* award (the top two awards) and over 95% of all examinations taken were 'high passes' (A*- C). Those results are testament to the hard work and dedication of our students and our talented teachers who guided them through the two year course.
Those students are, of course, now in our Year 12, and we look forward to seeing equally impressive IB Diploma results in two years time.
International Baccalaureate Results 2016
We have received this year's International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) results and we are delighted to announce that this year's graduating Year 13s have given us our strongest results to date.
Our average points score is 38, which is considerably higher than world average. 40% of our students earned a diploma score of 40+, which is a tremendous achievement. In addition, 73.4% of all grades were 6/7, the two highest grades that can be awarded.
Mr. Paul Friend, Principal, commented "on behalf of our entire school community, I offer our sincerest congratulations to our graduating class of 2016, for securing the highest IB results in the school's history. These results are a testament to the hard work and talent of our students, and to the dedication of the staff that have guided them towards such an impressive set of results."
