NLCS Jeju Libraries

Welcome to the NLCS Jeju Libraries – We strive to provide our learner communities with ample research and reading material, in a variety of formats no matter where in the School you are. Whether you are 4 or 18 there is something for you for academics and for pleasure.

We have three libraries -

  • Senior School - 3 Floors of Study, Books, Lecture Space and the UGC. Divided into different zones by Years
  • Junior School - A paradise for readers aged 7 - 11
  • First School - Reading and activities for our youngest students. The passion starts early here!

Our mission is to inspire curiosity, support learning, teach research skills, and promote the love of reading.

We have a large collection of over 40,000 printed books and magazines, as well as 24/7 access to a rich collection of e-resources with Sora/Overdrive and online research databases such as EbscoHost, JSTOR, Oxford Research Encyclopedia, VSI Collection, Groove Music, Groove Art, to name but a few.

Across the school, libraries create many opportunities throughout the academic year to celebrate and promote a culture of reading and lifelong learner:

  • Library Instructions for Senior Students
  • Library Week and Book Week
  • Thematic Displays
  • Book Fairs
  • Reading Challenges
  • Special events (Christmas Concert, Jazz, Poetry Slam, lectures by students)
  • Author and special guest visits
  • Library Helpers Team
  • Research support for teachers, Independent and Personal Project and IB Extended Essay for students

It all starts HERE, with the Online Library Catalogue!
