DofE

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award

We are proud to offer students the opportunity to take part in the DofE International Award.

Established in 1956 in the UK, the award operates all around the world as a global framework for non-formal education and learning for young people.

At NLCS Jeju we offer students the opportunity to take part in the Bronze, Silver and Gold Award, with the following sections forming the awards:

  • Volunteering
  • Physical
  • Skills
  • Expedition
  • Residential (Gold only)

It has been said that learning is the process whereby knowledge is created through the transformation of experience. Through our diverse trip programme, our outdoor education programme and the Duke of Edinburgh International Award your child will be able to connect their classroom learning to the outside world, develop their life-skills and grow their well-being and self confidence.”
