Sport is offered and enjoyed at all levels
All students are encouraged to take part in some form of physical activity outside of the classroom.
For some of our students this is purely a leisure activity, for others, they wish to perfect their skills and compete nationally and internationally – no matter a student’s ability – there are opportunities for all.
Our on campus Sports Centre has a multi purpose sports hall, squash courts, a gymnastics studio, a swimming pool, spin cycle studio and gym, the large campus is also home to two large Astro Turf pitches and next to the campus students have access to the community sports grounds which includes a running track and more multipurpose pitches.
Students compete against each other, other international and local schools in Jeju and on the mainland of Korea as well as internationally through world renowned competitions such as FOBISIA and KISAC.
Each year the School hosts a number of competitions on campus, as well as the Junior and Senior Sports Days.
For students who enjoy sports such as golf, fencing, scuba diving, surfing and rock climbing – a comprehensive programme is arranged through the Bryant programme with qualified and professional providers off campus.
“Sport is an integral part of the Beyond the Curriculum program at NLCS Jeju. Students throughout the School are encouraged to participate in sports and physical activities, there are also opportunities to play in national and international competitions. Students are challenged to reach their full potential and be the best they can be.”
